Vikings, Wind and Bike Problems

Hey Heffs it's Tom 'n Kat (well duh). For the last few days we've had a bit of an issue with general maintenance of the bikes and our trip has been quite long, the effects starting to appear with the bikes. After spending hours checking up on things and despite repeated attempts to mend stuff, we resorted to spending money (God forbid) to go to the nearest bike shop. We duly turned up after the receptionist at the family run campsite called ahead to tell we were coming....but we arrived and he just stared at us blankly and took us to the clothes shop opposite where a terrified young lady served as translator. Still the guy didn't get it and tapped the bike and insisted that it was fine (lol). Therefore we smiled and informed him of our immediate departure.

Returning to the receptionist we told her of our strife and she was shocked that he didn't speak English. "But ALL Danes speak English! He obviously missed school alot." As it's a family run campsite she insisted on giving us, bikes included, a lift in her car to the next town of Ribe. Even better than a tour, she drove us through the historic town and pointed out stuff like our own personal tour guide. The bike shop was unbelievable. It was huge, about 50 staff maybe? They took the bikes for a full service for roughly £30. We get the bikes back tomorrow. On the way back the kind woman showed us her daughters' school and gave more history. We also had a friendly conversation about politics, countries and family. All in all a good day - plus we get internet.
