Sexy Sweden, Fatty Ferries & No Map

Hello troglodites and heffs alike,

As we have found free internet, I thought it would be a good time to give a good and proper update as Thomas' ones seem slightly lacking anything interesting...

Yesterday, we cycled to a little town in north Denmark called Sindal, in hopes to find a good campsite with a tv to watch the England v Germany game. Unfortunatley, when we reached the campsite, the owner had no tv and had a grump about football manics but seemed good natured enough to approve us standing our ground to the Germany tourists. He directed us to a pub in the town centre. We got there 3 hours earlier (why), and Tom insisted we stay even though the place was dead except for some really dodgy regulars (abit like Mole Man of Stevenage). The barmaid eventually turned the game on and we sucked a few Tuborgs while the pub got rowdier. Whenever a new bunch of people came in, the barmaid pointed at us like we were some fairground attraction. Good fun though! A couple of hot lads came in, much to my joy, and sparked off convo resulting in free beer...woot! They had money on a draw but obviously had a huge dislike of Germans as they called them all nazi's and said that all German's are POISON. Several mentions of Hitler were made also...!

Anyway, we woke up early dying of thirst, and made for Frederikshavn for the ferry to Sweden...was sad to see it go tbh. Ferry was modern but loaded with people who just kept eating crap food. Goteburg is lovely though, modern enough to be cool, but sensible enough so we don't get run over by some bloody BMW driver. Swedish accent is funky, and Tom thinks all the ladies are hot (except one hideous minger we saw on the ferry lol).

Tomorrow = maps of the route, since the ones we have are too far zoomed out to get us anywhere.

Anyhoo, of we pop to get some shuteye and de-stink ourselves :) x

Nibe

It's Tom here. Quick 'n simple update: We've got 2-3 days left in Denmark until we get the ferry from Fredrickshavn to Goteburg, Sweden. After a good day of cycling, our first swim, and a super hot day last night we watched Denmark vs. Japan and it was a pretty good match! In fact it was awesome compared to USA vs. Algeria that I had watched a day or so earlier. Luckily it was just me and Kat watching it, so no Danes could see me hoping the Japanese would win :P. Just found out England are playing Germany on Sunday so will have to make sure we get to see it.

Re-reading this post have just realised I have said nothing interesting. Lulz! Oh well, Kat's cooking dinner - pasta w/ onion & salami so I must get back to the tents. C ya all!

Tuborg, Cakebombs and Skipping Ropes

Dear God Thomas is a moron! ''I can't skip with shoes on, it's a whole new realm of skill'', ''We can't go to the swimming pool because you'll embarrass me''. SHAME. Sigh. Nah it's fine. Damn there are some monster ants here...

We are on the edge of the Ringkobing Fjord in Denmark. We are finally underway back on the road of normality after a dodgy week of rain and flat tires. I feel more like a master of them now thanks to the first English couple we have met all trip coming to our rescue. God bless them seriously. Sandy and his wife could never understand how close we were to giving up! lol. Nevermind, we are troopers now. Roll on 10th July when we meet Stu in Oslo. Good times and beer. I'll have to convince him that we should drive to Kopperberg in Sweden...17 hours drive though but definately worth it in my opinion :P

So Thomas is outside skipping (yes he brought a rope), I'm here with a mug of Jagerbomb and Coldplay Viva la Vida...bliss. If it wasn't for the insane knee pain it's be perfect...but then I hear ''I can't do it, the wind is going the wrong way'' or some other retarded fart of speech from Tom. Sigh.

Catch you later brethren...I got a bomb to defuse...

Vikings, Wind and Bike Problems

Hey Heffs it's Tom 'n Kat (well duh). For the last few days we've had a bit of an issue with general maintenance of the bikes and our trip has been quite long, the effects starting to appear with the bikes. After spending hours checking up on things and despite repeated attempts to mend stuff, we resorted to spending money (God forbid) to go to the nearest bike shop. We duly turned up after the receptionist at the family run campsite called ahead to tell we were coming....but we arrived and he just stared at us blankly and took us to the clothes shop opposite where a terrified young lady served as translator. Still the guy didn't get it and tapped the bike and insisted that it was fine (lol). Therefore we smiled and informed him of our immediate departure.

Returning to the receptionist we told her of our strife and she was shocked that he didn't speak English. "But ALL Danes speak English! He obviously missed school alot." As it's a family run campsite she insisted on giving us, bikes included, a lift in her car to the next town of Ribe. Even better than a tour, she drove us through the historic town and pointed out stuff like our own personal tour guide. The bike shop was unbelievable. It was huge, about 50 staff maybe? They took the bikes for a full service for roughly £30. We get the bikes back tomorrow. On the way back the kind woman showed us her daughters' school and gave more history. We also had a friendly conversation about politics, countries and family. All in all a good day - plus we get internet.

Germany Update

Hi there! Sorry for the massive delay on updating. We have had a problem even more than usual with finding internet and/or power for the weighty annoying netbook. Sigh. Anyway. Germany is well...wet. It has rained continously for days on end relentlessly. Yesterday was Thomas' birthday...we celebrated with After Eight's, beef and peas lol. We got a few local pilseners too and played some crap drinking games (name at least 25 characters from Star Wars etc.) Lame!! But fun. I'm sure Maffu and Stu would approve. Thomas got a chocolate crossiant from me as a gift...cough. The rain is so shitty that we have to stay in this campsite another night...we've added 3 days on to Germany all together basically. BOLLOCKS. We want some viking action from the Danes tbh.

As we are at a REAL PC we will add photos on Facebook and actually see it for maybe the first time this trip.

:) Guten Tag meine Kinder. Alas Klar.
